Following a rough finish to last season, Kings Guard was looking to get off to a solid start in 2019, beginning with THE TIPOFF tournament.
Sacramento squared off first with Heat Check Gaming on Wednesday night. The first half was full of exciting plays for KGG, including a pair of highlights from new members Bp and BallLikeSeem.

Though the teams were tied at 30 heading into halftime, Heat Check turned up the defense in the second half and limited Sactown to just 16 points in the final two quarters.
Kings Guard would go on to fall to Miami 58-46. BallLikeSeem logged a team-high 12 points with Worthingcolt pulling down a team-high 15 rebounds.
There was not much time to recuperate, as KGG took on 76ers Gaming Crew immediately afterwards.
The squad struggled early against Philly and fell behind 10-0, but a pair of dunks in the first quarter helped spark the offense en route to a 13-2 run.

Once again, though, the second half proved to be full of challenges for Sacramento. The 76ers GC defense stifled Kings Guard in the fourth quarter, allowing Philadelphia to pull away for a 57-47 win.
Looking at the positives, Bp bounced back after struggling to score in the first contest and recorded a game-high 22 points to go with five assists.
Even though this wasn’t the start Kings Guard had hoped for, these tough finishes will serve as a good learning opportunity for the squad. The first regular season games that will count towards their overall record are on the horizon as Sacramento will take on Nets Gaming Crew and Wizards District Gaming on Friday April 12 in New York City.
