Kings Guard Tabbed with Bright Future
April 17, 2018
As the NBA 2K League season is set to begin in the coming weeks, the media has continued to evaluate the teams following the inaugural draft earlier this month.
While some writers have handed out traditional grades for each team, Josiah Cohen of Operation Sports opted to enact a new system meant to assess teams in the 2K League with future success in mind.
In the first set of five teams rated by Cohen, Kings Guard ranked in the top tier of each category of marketability, player performance, and team support, marking the only team to do so in the initial group.
“Yeah, this one’s easy. Kings Guard GG had a great draft and they have probably the best frontcourt to begin with (Mootyy and worthingcolt) — and very few people thought timelycook could drop to the third round,” wrote Cohen.
He continued to remark that Golden 1 Center “already has the first (awesome) esports center in a pro sports arena” and concluded that “[Kings Guard’s] franchise outlook is very, very bright.”
