Kings Guard Gaming’s Michael “Bp” Diaz Named Finalist for 2019 Intel Performance NBA 2K League Most Valuable Player Award

Today via Periscope, NBA 2K League Managing Director Brendan Donohue announced the five finalists for the 2019 Intel Performance NBA 2K League MVP Award, including Kings Guard’s own Michael “Bp” Diaz.

 

The finalists are (in alphabetical order by last name):

  • Michael “Bp” Diaz, Kings Guard Gaming
  • Brendan “Reizey” Hill, Magic Gaming
  • Nidal “Mama Im Dat Man” Nasser, Blazer5 Gaming
  • Albano “oFAB” Thomallari, Celtics Crossover Gaming
  • Ethan “Radiant” White, 76ers GC

 

In his rookie season, Bp has averaged 17.5 points, 8.1 assists and 1.1 rebounds in regular season play. In a historic performance against Pacers Gaming, Bp led all scoring with 41 points, tying the previous NBA 2K League record for most points in a single game and also set the record for most three pointers in an NBA 2K League game with 11 made three pointers – earning him the title of @IntelGaming Player of the Game.

 

As part of the nomination process, team managers (one per team) and all NBA 2K League players had the ability to vote for five players to be a finalist for the MVP award. The five players that have received the most votes were named MVP finalists and have become eligible to be voted upon for the final vote. Fan voting begins on Friday, July 12 at 3 p.m. PT and will conclude at 8:59 p.m. PT on Friday, July 19.

  • 1/3 of the vote – Players
  • 1/3 of the vote – Team managers, league officials and media
  • 1/3 of the vote – Fans
