Kings Guard Gaming Finishes Week 2 in Strong Fashion
April 22, 2019
The second week of the regular season got off to a rocky start for Kings Guard, beginning with the first matchup against Hawks Talon GC.
Kings Guard was in control for a good portion of the contest against Atlanta, but a 15-5 run in the third quarter combined with being outscored 20-8 in the fourth quarter would ultimately lead Hawks Talon to a 66-54 triumph.
BallLikeSeem was able to log a team-high 17 points, but it would not be enough to top Hawks Talon.

Even with the potentially deflating defeat in mind, the squad was determined to bounce back.
They wouldn’t have to wait long as Sacramento took on Grizz Gaming later that night.
Led by Bp’s 26-point barrage, Kings Guard was able to build a sturdy lead and keep Memphis at bay for essentially the entire contest leading to a 64-46 win.

Worthingcolt also came up big in the matchup, notching a double-double with his 11 points and 10 rebounds.
“We came out here and we ended on a high note,” said Worthingcolt following the victory. “We threw the last game out of the window. We didn’t want to hold onto that L and you see the results.”

After also splitting their games in Week 1, Sacramento’s record now sits at 2-2, which places the squad at 10th in the overall standings.
Week 3 has a tall task ahead for KGG, as their two matchups are against a pair of the top teams in the 2K League – 76ers GC and Celtics Crossover Gaming.
These two upcoming opponents demonstrated their dominance early on in this season when they both made it to the finals of THE TIPOFF tournament where 76ers GC came out on top.
With a strong showing under their belts, Kings Guard will be looking to put the League on notice next Friday night in New York.
