Kings Guard Gaming Announces Schedule for Upcoming 2020 NBA 2K League Regular Season

Today, Kings Guard Gaming announced their upcoming regular-season schedule. For the 2020 NBA 2K League Season, games will be hosted at the League’s new 13,600 square-foot space studio located at 508 West 37th Street in Manhattan, New York. Every game will be broadcast live on Twitch.com/NBA2KLeague and YouTube.com/NBA2KLeague.

During the season, the 16 regular-season matchups, which will occur each week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, will determine future playoff seeding. Select NBA 2K League teams will host rivalry matches and round-robin events in their local markets. These games will count towards a team’s regular-season record, with the exception of the round-robin championship games, which will have a total prize pool of $20,000 – the winning team of the championship game will receive $15,000.

The 2020 season will once again feature three in-season (THE TIPOFF, THE TURN and THE TICKET), which will all see teams compete for banners that link together to form THE BANNER CHAIN powered by AT&T. The first two tournaments – THE TIPOFF and THE TURN – will see all 23 teams compete. The top nine playoff seeds will be determined by regular-season record, with the remaining 14 teams competing in THE TICKET to decide the 10th and final spot in the 2020 NBA 2K League Playoffs. The playoffs will tip-off on Wednesday, July 29, and take place over four days of gameplay.

Each team will have five bye weeks during the season, including a league-wide bye week July 1 through July 4.

During the 2020 season, the NBA 2K League will award $1.4 million in prize money across THE TIPOFF and THE TURN, the six round-robin local events and the NBA 2K League Playoffs.
