Kings Guard Gaming Announce 2018 Regular Season Schedule

Sacramento, Calif. – Kings Guard Gaming is set to begin regular season play in the inaugural NBA 2K League with its first match this weekend. Kings Guard will tip-off its 15-week regular season against Jazz Gaming on Saturday, May 12 at 1 p.m. PDT. All competition takes place at the NBA 2K League Studio Powered by Intel in New York City and every game is broadcast live on Twitch.
Kings Guard looks to build on its initial performance at the NBA 2K Tip-Off Tournament, where it finished round robin play with a 1-2 record. All three thrilling matches featured last second lead changes with two losses by a combined four points.
During the season, the 12 weeks of matchups will foster new rivalries and determine playoff seeding. Three tournaments staggered throughout the season provide peaks of drama as teams compete for prize pools and one guaranteed spot in the playoffs for the winner of the final tournament.
Seeding and matchups for the next tournament (June 8-9) and the third tournament (July 13-14) will be determined by a team’s record during the four weeks of regular-season games preceding each tournament.

Kings Guard enters the season with an A+ draft class rating by Forbes for their selections during the league’s inaugural draft on April 4. The team practices in Golden 1 Center’s esports training facility and content studio– the first dedicated esports facility in a professional sports venue. Three time NBA 2K cover athlete and NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal serves as General Manager and UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber leads the team’s training regimen as Director of Mental Performance and Human Optimization.
