Kings Guard Gaming 2021 NBA 2K Draft Results

On Saturday, March 13, Kings Guard Gaming selected the following gamers in the virtual 2021 NBA 2K League Draft:

These newly drafted players will join shooting forward Rafel “Crush” Davis, power forward/center Yusuf “Yusuf_Scarbz” Abdulla, shooting guard Waseem “Seem” Talbert and point guard Nidal “Mama Im Dat Man” Nasser in representing Sacramento for the upcoming season. The team will once again be led by Head Coach DJ Layton.

In 2017, the Sacramento Kings revealed the identity of their first esports team – Kings Guard Gaming –that participated in the inaugural season of the NBA 2K League in 2018. Committing resources to support the new team, the Kings unveiled the world’s first dedicated esports training facility and content studio inside a professional sporting venue, featuring a broadcast center, gamer lounge and full-service music recording studio. Using the world’s most connected in-arena network, the studio has full broadcast capabilities to produce livestreams and content as well as the latest hardware for zero-lag gaming. In 2019, the team made its first NBA 2K League playoff appearance.
The 2020 NBA 2K League season saw Kings Guard Gaming tied for fifth place in the playoffs with a regular season record of 11-5. From successful tournament runs, the team accrued a total of $107,100 in prize money. The 2020 Kings Guard Gaming team was led by Head Coach DJ “DLAY2K” Layton and consisted of rookie players Rafel “Crush” Davis, guard Matthew “Bash” Robles and guard Hayden “Nasthetic” Caudle, as well as veteran players shooting guard Waseem “Seemo” Talbert, center/forward Connor “Dat Boy Shotz” and power forward/center Yusuf “Yusuf_Scarbz” Abdulla.
