“I landed on a team with a coach and players that I have played with in the past,” said the 55th overall pick. “I was getting nervous throughout the draft but everything happens for a reason and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.”
The Pennsylvania native overcame his struggles in 2K19 and wound up with a Pro-Am team in TTO that allowed him to showcase his skills. He possesses notable versatility, playing both forward positions with defending and sharpshooting archetypes.
Leading up to the Draft, Zakyy provided his followers on Twitter with just a taste of some of the things he’s capable of on the sticks.

While his offensive feats are enough to get fans excited, Saruba also talked about how much he enjoys making plays on the other end of the floor.
“I love playing primary defender positions on any 2K I have touched,” said Zakyy. “I like being able to go one on one and communicate with my team, and make it tough on any scorers the other team has.”
Outside of his passion for 2K, the 25-year-old also enjoys fishing, playing sports, keeping up with new music and spending time with his family. He’s also settling in nicely to the Sacramento area, stating, “The community here seems close and everybody over here that I have met has been nice.”
With the squad locked in on the season ahead, Zakyy expressed his confidence in Kings Guard’s roster and what they can achieve.
“We have five players on the court and if we all do our job there is no reason we can’t accomplish what we know we can.”
