Even after making it to the NBA 2K League last year, Yusuf_Scarbz wasn’t about to get complacent.
The Toronto native played for his hometown team Raptors Uprising GC in his first season, but will now find himself across the map in a new country in year two.
In an effort to stand out in this season’s draft pool and refine his game, Yusuf logged more than 1,400 hours on 2K during the offseason, in addition to lengthy film study sessions.
His hard work paid off when Kings Guard selected him 53rd overall in the 2019 Draft.

“I was excited about my teammates and to live in the [United] States for 4 to 5 months,” said Scarbz.
The 26-year-old brings a great degree of versatility to Sacramento’s squad and is able to play as several different archetypes, ranging from stretch big to slasher to sharpshooting rebounder to lockdown defender.
He’s also not afraid to get hyped during a heated contest.

When explaining what he loves most about being a 2K pro, Yusuf said that it’s simply “playing against the best of the best.”
Along with WorthingColt and Ball Like Seem, Scarbz’ experience from the inaugural season will be a crucial component in helping to guide his new Kings Guard teammates through the grind.
In his sophomore year, he’s only focused on one goal.
“Championship or bust.”
