What does Black History Month mean to you?
Black History Month means a lot to me. It’s a month of celebration from the past and present of people like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and MLK who I look up to because they have contributed to society in a positive way.
Why do you think it’s important for everyone to learn about black history?
I think it’s important to learn every type of history so you understand how society developed over time.
How do you celebrate your heritage?
I do this by celebrating Eid with friends and family after Ramadan every year.
What advice would you give to others who are striving to succeed in the sports and gaming industry?
I would tell them to work hard. Be the hardest worker you can be, because like the quote says “hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard”.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Meeting new people and supporters every day. It is awesome the support we have. Also the chance of playing for a NBA organization like the Kings. You feel very important. You feel like one of the players. It’s a great big family here.
Why is it important to continue to encourage diversity across the league?
It is very important because I believe in multiculturalism and having more diversity would also bring more fans across the world also.
